“我的家在中國”廣州暨大港澳子弟學校9月1日開學典禮，350多名新生進校正式開課
“My Hometown is China”- Affiliated School of Jinan University for Hong Kong & Macao Students officially start on 1st Sep, more than 350 students attended the opening ceremony.
學校特別邀請了暨南大學副校長王兵，中國科學院院士、暨南大學粵港澳中樞神經再生研究院院長、美國發明家學會院士以及學校總顧問蘇國輝先生，與總校長鄭景亮、執行校長封巖以及全校教職工和新同學，共同見證了學校開學日。
The school specially invited Professor Wang Bing, Vice President of Jinan University and Dr.So Kwok-Fai, Academician of CAS(Chinese Academy of Sciences), Head of GHM Institute of CNS Regeneration of Jinan University, NAI(National Academy of Inventors) Fellow and Chief consultant of ASJ as the guests of honor. Chief Principal Cheng King Leung, Executive Principal Jessica Feng, all teachers and students attended and witnessed the first school day.
我的家在中國“My hometown is China”
據悉，這次開學日的主題為“我的家在中國”，寓意同學們在廣州暨大港澳子弟學校收獲成長，在中國這片土地感受中華文化的魅力，成為具有國際視野的青少年。“我的家在中國”寄語了學校對學生的祝福，同學們在中華這片土地、這個校園里生活和學習，這里就是他們的一個家，承載著孩子們的童年與少年時代的夢想。
The theme of the first school day is “My hometown is China”, expecting students can achieve growth in ASJ, to feel the charisma of the Chinese Culture in the land of China and become youngsters with international perspective. “My hometown is China” indicated the blessing to students from the school, students live on the land of China, live and study on this campus and this is like a home to them, carrying dreams of their childhood.

Hey, you there! We met on the 1st of September.
你沒有怯懦，自信大方牽起新同學的手，積極融入全新、也舒適溫暖的環境，父母和老師都為你驕傲。
You were so brave, held hands with new classmates confidently and generously. You tried your best to fit in the new, comfortable and warm environment, your parents and teachers were all proud of you.
在升旗儀式上，由總校長鄭景亮先生、執行校長封巖女士分別擔任升旗、護旗手，五星紅旗在雄壯的國歌聲中冉冉升起。
During the flag raising ceremony, Chief Principal Cheng King Leung is the flag raising person and Executive Principal Jessica Feng is the flag protector. The Chinese National Flag raised beautifully amid the majestic national anthem.
廣州暨大港澳子弟學校總校長鄭景亮先生在開學典禮上致辭，與同學們分享“如何成為一個成功的學習者”，并預告了開學后第一個月的學習主題將延續開學典禮的主題“我的家在中國”，讓同學更了解自己的國民身份，同時也會讓同學去籌備一系列十一國慶活動。
Mr. Cheng King Leung, Chief Principal of ASJ shared “How to be a successful learner” in his speech with all students in the opening ceremony and announced that the theme of study for the first month will be “My hometown is China”. This is aimed at helping students to understand their national identity, they will also be invited to prepare for a series of activities for the National Day on 1st Oct.
昂首挺胸，宣讀學生公約，許下“尊師重道，學以潤身”的諾言。
You stood tall and read out the‘student convention' , promise to honour the teacher and respect his teaching, and become a better self.
開學典禮活動現場，16位同學表演了詩歌朗誦《香江贊》，清朗堅定的童聲伴隨旋律優美的琴聲，見證了開學日的正式到來。
At the opening ceremony, 16 students perform the poetry recital A Tribute to Hong Kong. The clear and firm voice of the children and beautiful sound of the piano witness the official start of the school term.
感謝你的出現，見證了今天這特別的儀式。今天不單是開學典禮，更是學校的一個重要里程碑。
Thank you for showing up to witness this special ceremony. It was not only an opening ceremony, but also an important milestone for ASJ.
